i didnt find a direct answer but found some quotes about him ackson had no qualms about overstepping the law, even the Constitution, when he believed that the very survival of the nation required it. Jackson was often a vain, blustering, power-driven man who when he deemed it necessary had no qualms about violating the Constitution.
