Need help 1. 8/1-3i 2.10-10i/-9+2i

OpenStudy (kainui):

In the first one, try multiplying by a fancy version of the number 1. Since anything divided by itself is one, you can multiply it by (1+3i)/(1+3i). Why did I choose that? It's the same thing as in the bottom, and changing the sign to the opposite one in front of the "i" term is called the complex conjugate. It doesn't matter what it's called, what happens when you multiply it is what's important. Foil it out and see for yourself.
