Help me simplify rational expression?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3. Simplify 6ab^6/4a^7b^10 * a^3b^4/2a^7b^6 a. 7x/8 - 2x/8 b. -5x/8 c. 3a^2b^3/4a^7b^8 d. a^2b^5/2a^7b^8

OpenStudy (jonnyvonny):

The easiest way to do this is to simplify each parenthesis individually, then combine them: the first has an (2ab^6) in common, while second, a (a^3b^4). After you reduce that, you multiply both, and reduce, once again. Do you require more assistance?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes please

OpenStudy (jonnyvonny):

First equation: \[6ab^6/4a^7b^{10}\rightarrow (2ab^6)(3)/(2ab^6)(2a^6b^4)\] We took out when these both had in common, which was (2ab^6), which we then may cancel out.\[3/2a^6b^4\] We cannot reduce any more, so we go to the next equation. Try reducing yourself and post answer; you can do it:)..I'll check.

OpenStudy (jonnyvonny):

I got \[1/(2a^4b^2)\] What did you get?

Do we need to back up some?
