how would i factor 18x^4y^2+21x^5y-6x^3y^2 i don't even know where to begin for this so any help would be appreciated

Look at the 3 terms and see what's common to all three, then factor it out. 18, 21 and 6 have a common factor of 3. There's a y in each term and there's an x^3 in each term. (3x^3y)(6xy + 7x^2 - 2y) is what I get. I don't think it can be reduced any more.
