OpenStudy (raveninneverland):

Can someone please explain to me how to do this problem? I'm not sure how to get from point-slope form to standard form. Write the equation y - 2 = 4(x + 5) in standard form.

OpenStudy (zpupster):

standard form: Ax + By = C so y-2=4x+20 subtract y and 20 both sides 4x-y=-22

OpenStudy (zpupster):

e slope-intercept form of a line is: y = mx + b

OpenStudy (raveninneverland):

Thank you both! I really appreciate it. :D Much love to you both. <3

OpenStudy (zpupster):

"point-slope" form. y – y1 = m(x – x1)

Thanks for clarifying zpupster
