An experiment is broken up into two parts. In the first part of the experiment, a six-sided die is rolled. In the second part of the experiment, a dime is tossed in the air. What is the probability of getting a 1?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Six-sided die is just 1 through 6. Tossing a dime doesn't really do pellet. I'm guessing the retard who wrote the question thought it would be cool to make you confused. Probability of getting a 1 is 1/6

This doesn't make sense. Is every side of the die containing one of the set 1-6? You don't know this for a fact.
