find the slope of the line passing through each pair of points A. (-3 -1) and (-1 5) B. (3/4, 5) and (5/4, 2)
Lets do a first. To find the slope, do: -1-5/-3+1 Simplify that, and you get: -6/-2, which is 3. Did you understand it?
some of it i think i need more help @zeinas.
how did you change the signs of the numbers and why? @zeinas. that's confusing me and also how would i do it if there are fractions in the equation such as question B)
So to find the slope, the equation is y1-y2/x1-x2 now let's do the second one, y1 and y2 is 5 and 2, so we have: 5-2/ x1 and x2 is 3/4 and 5/4 Let's use decimals. So we have now: 5-2/0.75-1.25 Simplify: 3/-0.5 So you're slope is -3/0.5 or -6. Did you understand it?
yes i do know thank you very much @zeinas. best instructor or teacher ever!
In one, I changed the sign because it was : -1-5/-3-(-1) and - times - is positive so -1-5/-3+1 Then I just simplified like I showed before.
And thank you :)
Glad I could help
