hello my son has exams this week and is in the 8th grade we have a study guide with 50 questions, and i don't have a clue how to help him and he doesn't know the material can any one help me help him? Thank you

OpenStudy (kc_kennylau):

Welcome to OpenStudy :D You may want to read the code of conduct ( http://openstudy.com/code-of-conduct ). Don't forget to click on the button called "Best Answer" to give a medal to the person who helped you :)

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Have him repeat the course and learn the material this time.

OpenStudy (kc_kennylau):

wow that's harsh @Mertsj

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But they have a perfectly legitimate point. There's not much point in moving to the next course if he doesn't understand any of the previous material.

OpenStudy (mertsj):

It's only harsh to the younger generation whose members think they should get a grade without learning anything. Why do you think our country is THIRTY-EIGHTH among the nations in math?

OpenStudy (kc_kennylau):

one year is an extremely long time

OpenStudy (kc_kennylau):

not "our country", just "your country", i'm not from USA

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So, it's not like it will damage him that much. Yeah, he may be a year "behind," but he will (hopefully) understand the material. Quality over quantity. Or, if he chose, he could do a summer course with a private tutor.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(And, grammatically, "our country" is perfectly legitimate - the person can assume that there are other Americans present on this topic and refer to their own country.)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what are the image coordinated of A(-2,1), B(3,-2) and C(-1,5) when reflected over the x-axis?

OpenStudy (kc_kennylau):

when reflected over the x-axis, reverse the sign of the y-coordinate

OpenStudy (kc_kennylau):

that means 1->-1, -2->2

OpenStudy (kc_kennylau):

brb(20mins)

OpenStudy (shamil98):

Look at this http://www.regentsprep.org/Regents/math/geometry/GT5/reviewtranformations.htm It has more than enough info to guide you through what you need.

OpenStudy (pixiedust1):

i'd love you help you out. I sent you a pm :)
