I have had a very bad throat and have been coughing up mucus and stuff, today I tried practicing and I couldn't even hit a high b flat, I was practicing range. I was struggling to hit it, I had a very scratchy sounds up the high notes and its just weird... I sounded a little off too... I should be able to hit a b with no problem but instead it was like in beginner band and I couldn't even get the note out (I wasn't trying to force it forcing it is a bad idea) Can someone tell me whats up? Does sinus sickness do something with your range? Help please I'll give a medal.

Yeah, sickness will affect you as you need to blow to get a sound out. Trust e, I know the feeling! The air you need to push through your instrument comes from your body...through your throat....through your mouth and into your instrument. If you're sick with something in your throat...it won't work to well.

I didn't really read EVERYTHING you typed, but what helps my singing voice is one or two small shots of Olive Oil... That sounds weird, but it works, it coats your throat.
