Evidence of King Abubakari II voyage?

OpenStudy (zale101):

Some historians claim that King Abubakari the Second reached the Americas. He set sailed 2,000 from Mali to the Americas and was never found by then. The only way to prove that he settled in the Americas was signs of ships and boats or something else from their property... So my question is, is there an evidence of his successful voyage in the Americas?

OpenStudy (nincompoop):

do you need my help?

OpenStudy (zale101):

Sure

OpenStudy (zale101):

Please

OpenStudy (nincompoop):

the evidence or whatever evidence exists, it is not sufficient to convince the majority of historians. I can dig it up if I can access my e-library

OpenStudy (zale101):

ok :)

OpenStudy (nincompoop):

one trend in the exploration was to go south east-ward, westward was a rather bold move by europeans, but that was a lot later

OpenStudy (zale101):

The South part was for the King Abubakari II settlement and the west side was settled by the Europeans..ok but why do people claim that he "must have" if there wasn't sign of his settlement just that he sent 2,000 ships near the Americas.. My prof didn't make it clear in his lecture, i think i should shoot him a message for more clarification. Thank u Nin! Goodnight!

This is an important review about one of the minor group of historians that speculated a pre-Columbus "discovery" of the Americas
