John was graphing a function and noticed that at certain points, the graph reaches invisible lines the graph will never cross. Explain to John what the two types of invisible lines are and how to predict them. You may create your own example to aid in your reasoning. Use complete sentences.

Would these lines be the asymptotes of the function?

>> Would these lines be the asymptotes of the function? These (invisible lines the graph will never cross) are vertical asymptotes. There are oblique and also horizontal asymptotes that rational functions can cross. So, I'm wondering about this part of the question: what the two types of invisible lines are. I can think of only one "invisible" asymptote that cannot be crossed.

I'm not sureee:/

i think the question is talking about vertical and horizontal asymptote. im pretty sure it is
