A motorcycle can travel 60 miles per gallon. Approximately how many gallons of fuel will the motorcycle need to travel 40 km? [1 mile = 1.6 km] 0.04 0.08 0.20 0.42

OpenStudy (anonymous):

start by converting km's to miles. 40 x 1.6=64 miles

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then divide 64 by 60 to find out how many gallons. Although your options don't have the answer I came up with and I am pretty sure I have the right answer. check your question again and see if you have any typos.

The depth to which water enters the soil and the time it takes the water to reach that depth The depth to which water enters the soil and the total volume of water that reaches that depth The number of liters of water that enter the soil and the volume of water that reaches that depth The total number of liters of water in the soil and the time it takes the water to reach that depth

Sorry my mistake. divide 40 by 1.6. you get 25. divide 25 by 60 and you get .416 round it and you get .42. D is your answer.
