@kittiwitti1

OpenStudy (lena772):

diction is word choice, right?

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

I believe so.

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

/thumbs up/

OpenStudy (lena772):

I like your new icon!! Do you know anything about the characterization? I'm kind of lost there :(

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

Haha thanks but I'm in the process of renovating my avi. Characterization... how are the characters portrayed?

OpenStudy (lena772):

Nanny is aware but a conformist

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

Let me rephrase - how are the characters portrayed in a way that indicates the author's point of view? (e.g. Janie's being strong-willed and independent shows women's desires to have their rightful place in society)

OpenStudy (lena772):

So janies the only one in the novel that really reflects the author's point of view..?

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

Possibly - but the question is how EACH character is PORTRAYED in a way that reflects the author's perspective, not whether their ideals reflect the author's.

OpenStudy (lena772):

Okay so who else should I include? Tea Cake? Joe Starks? Phoebe? Nanny? Nunki?

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

Whoever you think works :)

OpenStudy (lena772):

Hm, okay. thanks for everything!

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

No problem, glad to have helped :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):
