alright that's fluttered up. Don't post that pellet on my question status comments.
jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):
+12 + -11 is the same as 12 - 11
jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):
since adding a negative is the same as subtracting

He found the difference of the numbers instead of the sum.
He divided the integers.
He chose the incorrect sign for the sum.
He multiplied the integers.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
those are the multi choices^
jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):
Are you sure the problem isn't -12 + -11 ?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
+12 + -11 and got the answer -1.
jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):
+12 + -11 is the same as 12 - 11 = 1
so he should have gotten 1 (not -1) as the answer

I'm confused because none of the those multi choice answers are correct
jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):
Yeah those choices don't really fit. What he should do is find the difference of the numbers and make that result positive (since 12 is positive and larger than 11, which is negative)
