The All-In-One cable TV network takes a random sample of viewers that watch the network to get their opinion on a new TV show. They then advertise the following: “Ninety percent of all viewers rate our new show as the best they have ever watched.” Why might this statistic be misleading?

Sounds unlikely. Sample might be small. Quesiton loaded. Selection bias...only viewers of that channel that day. ESPN might say that about a sports program that Hallmark Channel women viewers might strongly disagree with.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a. The TV network only sampled its viewers, not all viewers b. The TV network only sampled the people that watched the new TV show c. The viewers did not really watch the new TV show d. The graph is not misleading are the options
