Can Someone Please Help Me With This I Will Fan N Medal What is the slope of a line that passes through the point (−2, 3) and is parallel to a line that passes through (3, 7) and (−2, −8)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

don't keep promising rewards , the people r here to help ; we're not looking for rewards , helping provides enough satisfaction

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do u need equation of the line or just the slope ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I need the slope and I always write in the rewards part , lol kinda used to it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well , as u might know , parallel lines have same slope ; so just find the slpe of the line joining the other two points

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do u know the slope formula ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y=mx+b right , sorry I'm horrid with slope

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the slope formula is y2 - y1/x2 - x1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just take the other two points and plug in the values

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ur equation is the equation of a line

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh :/ I really have no idea

OpenStudy (anonymous):

take one point as (3,7) ; so x1 is 3 and y1 is 7 take the other point (-2,-8) ; so x2 is -2 and y2 is -8 now use the formula|dw:1387448360272:dw|
