OpenStudy (hkmiu):

What is y = tan θ when θ = π?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Zero

OpenStudy (hkmiu):

Can you explain? :o I wanna find out how to do it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you know what sin(pi) and cos(pi) equal? You have to understand those 2 things before tackling tan(pi)

OpenStudy (hkmiu):

I just know the value of it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You know sin(pi) = 0 and cos(pi) = -1 tan(x) = sin(x) / cos(x) So tan (pi) = sin(pi) / cos(pi) = 0 / -1 = 0

OpenStudy (hkmiu):

ohhhhhhhhhhh, okay. Thanks so much!
