|dw:1387503552127:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is five centimeters long total

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@DemolisionWolf

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is M the mid point?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

on my paper it is shown slightly to the left. and none of my choices are 2.5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

my choices are .3 cm 2.2 cm 2.8 cm 1.8 cm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you have the lenght for AN?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

5 centimeters

OpenStudy (anonymous):

awh, ok ^_^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so adding the length of AM and MN equals 5 cm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or, AM + MN = 5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yep

OpenStudy (anonymous):

plug in what AM equals into the equation, and plug in what MN equals into the equation, and solve for x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if AM = 7x+.1 then NM = ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

10x-.2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yep, so replace those into AM + NM =5 and solve for x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@demolisionwolf 7x + .1 + 10x - .2 = 5. I got to that part, but after that i tired to plug in numbers but nothing came out right :/ I know that sounds stupid but can you show me how to do that part.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nevermind I figured it out ^^; I plugged in .3 and it came out perfectly! Thanks! Looking at this really helped!
