Will give medal o: Match the equation with its graph. -1/2x + 1/6y = 2/3 http://prntscr.com/2cnnqe http://prntscr.com/2cnnv6 http://prntscr.com/2cno0d http://prntscr.com/2cno48

OpenStudy (ranga):

Find the x and y intercepts of the equation. Then it will be easier to match it with the graph. To find the y-intercept, set x = 0 and solve for y. To find the x-intercept, set y = 0 and solve for x. What is the y-intercept of -1/2x + 1/6y = 2/3 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y = .1 x = .3 ??

@ranga

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\frac{ x }{-2 }+\frac{ y }{6 }=\frac{ 2 }{3 }\] \[\frac{ x }{-2 }*\frac{ 3 }{2 }+\frac{ y }{6 }*\frac{ 3 }{2 }=1\] \[\frac{ x }{-\frac{ 4 }{3 }}+\frac{ y }{4 }=1\] x intercept is \[\frac{ -4 }{3 }=-1.33...\] y intercept is 4 now you can find.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So it would be this one? http://prntscr.com/2cnnqe

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no x is negative.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh yeah, I didn't see that. Sorry. http://prntscr.com/2cno48 ?

OpenStudy (ranga):

Yes. x-intercept = -4/3 and y-intercept is 4 in that graph.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes you are correct.

Thank you guys c: @ranga @surjithayer
