Which sentence demonstrates correct punctuation? Dakhim wrote to the librarian; he wanted to express his appreciation for her hard work. Vladimir and Nadya traveled to Siberia on January, 1 to visit their aunt, and uncle. While babysitting for the Andersons, Chris wrote a paper and she finished her book. Kaylie told Martza that she needed: to wash the dishes, and finish vacuuming the den.
The second sentence looks pretty good to me... "While babysitting for the Andersons, Chris wrote a paper and she finished her book."
The third sentence -----> As It demonstrates correct punctuation by using the punctuation marks correctly :)
it is the third sentence....charlotte said the 3rd as well as Floridaa, although there was a typo in Floridaa's....she wrote 2nd sentence, but listed the 3rd one as being correct. So in a unanimous vote, it is 3rd sentence.
@texaschic101 Exactly xD
Well, I like the first sentence with correct use of the semicolon. Commas are wrong in number two. Need comma after "paper" in three. Colon is odd in four and comma after dishes no good.
Oh crap...I think your right douglas....In sentence 3, there does need to be a comma before the conjunction " and ". I am gonna go with the first one....because a semicolon can be used between two independent clauses when there is no conjunction. Good catch douglas :)
I'd say the first one
thanks
For the second: there shouldn't be a comma after January because when in a sentence, you say January 1st or the first of January. Third one: There was no need for the colon. This is what I think. I can be wrong since English is not my thing.
u were right lol thanks
