Where on Earth’s surface might you be if you are experiencing the polar easterlies? Explain how air pressure, temperature, and the Coriolis effect influence the movement and direction of these winds.

@clara.university's can you help me plez

OpenStudy (anonymous):

here's what I got You would be in the north or south pole. The polar easterlies are the dry, cold prevailing winds that blow from the high-pressure areas of the polar highs at the north and south poles towards low-pressure areas within the Westerlies at high latitudes. Cold air subsides at the pole creating the high pressure, forcing an equatorward outflow of air; that outflow is then deflected westward by the Coriolis effect.

Can you help me with one more @clara.university How does severe weather in Earth’s atmosphere affect Earth’s geosphere?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And thank you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm pretty sure severe weather doesn't affect the earths geosphere but when it does affect it sometimes it will cause weathering and erosion
