OpenStudy (kc_kennylau):

@Vincent-Lyon.Fr y a-t-il différence de la prononciation entre "Je l'ai chanté" et "Je les chantais"?

OpenStudy (kc_kennylau):

Si non, comment peut-on les distinguer?

OpenStudy (vincent-lyon.fr):

Teoretically yes: chanter, chanté, chantai are pronounced [e] chantais is pronounced [ɛ]

OpenStudy (kc_kennylau):

"Theoretically" means it's not true in real life?

OpenStudy (vincent-lyon.fr):

What I mean is that even people with higher education will not necessarily make a difference. But a classical actor will. This appposition between [e] and [ɛ] is gradually fading. There is no way in distinguishing between your 2 sentences with most speakers nowadays.

OpenStudy (kc_kennylau):

Ah, je vois, je vois.

OpenStudy (kc_kennylau):

Merci pour ton information :)
