OpenStudy (ttop0816):

am i correct?? The slope of a line is 0, and the y-intercept is 6. What is the equation of the line written in slope-intercept form? y = 6 y = 6x y = x + 6 <---!

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

Nope.

OpenStudy (luigi0210):

Try again, remember, it said slope=0 \[\LARGE y=mx+b\] m=slope b=y-intercept So 0 times anything is 0, so the x would be gone.

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

Any better ideas?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

0 for gradient/slope=a vertical line

OpenStudy (ttop0816):

y = 6x??

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

Please don't guess. Try to visualize what a graph is showing.

OpenStudy (luigi0210):

Or use the equation.

OpenStudy (luigi0210):

y=6x ,means slope of 6, and no y-intercept.

OpenStudy (ttop0816):

Thanks guys!
