two problems i encounter often

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\fbox{1}\] after typing a long solution before submission, the browser just refresh automatically, and i loose all my data, then i have to start over, this might be because of a huge mass of latex usage: -solution could be introducing a new way of saving draft automatically, while one is still typing ,to avoid data loss \[\fbox{2}\] i post a question, then after some time i wanna post it again ,due to dissatisfactory answers or developement,i knw pple who commented will get notified but for a new audience this is a helpful tool, can we have an option of opening a closed question/

OpenStudy (blues):

Point one I'm not a coder and can't address. But point two I can. The Open/Closed system has been in place a relatively short amount of time - about two years, I think? It was meant to solve the problem of people posting many (i.e., 20 +) questions, usually off a test or assignment, and getting answers to all of them. Closing and re-opening would sort of defeat that purpose. The idea is, focus on one question until it's answered; indicate you consider the answer satisfactory by closing the question, and post another. I think people shouldn't be able to reopen a question - brings back the ugly old days when askers posted twenty questions a pop - but I also don't see why the site couldn't allow two or three questions from each asker to be open at the same time.

OpenStudy (kainui):

Maybe when you reach 33, 66, and 99 you get to have an additional open question.

OpenStudy (blues):

+1 for your chosen intervals.

OpenStudy (kainui):

It's either that or 49 and 99 or something to that effect. I honestly can't imagine someone really asking more than about 3 questions.

thank you this is very helpful @blues @Kainui
