Can some one help me find the slope for (5, 1), (–3, 4)

OpenStudy (owlcoffee):

In order to find the slope, as we defined it, it has the following formula: \[m=\frac{ y _{2}-y _{1} }{ x _{2}-x _{1} }\] So let's define those points as a(5,1) and b(-3,4) plugging them in the equation we get: \[m=\frac{ 4-1 }{ (-3)-5 }\] all you have to do now i operate :)
