Any tips for the math section on the ACT?

OpenStudy (primeralph):

Yeah, the math is really easy. Get a cool calculator. Know trig.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@greenpride please take the SAT. You're allowed to use a TI89 on it which basically gives you an automatic 800/36. Well, that's what I did and I got into Harvard.

Wha kind of cool calculator? And @TanteAnna I live in Michigan and its required that you take the ACT to get into a good college. But I prefer the SAT. But its only out of state, I believe.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@GreenPride The ACT is the selective one. SAT scores are accepted EVERYWHERE. The calculator is the TI89, you may want to ask your university for a clarification.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Really!? :O I'm in High school now and will take the ACT next year.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'd really look into taking the SAT, if you want a good math score you'd be seariously setting yourself up for success taking the SAT compared to the ACT.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So I can send in my SAT score to any universities instead of my ACT score?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sure can!

OpenStudy (primeralph):

If you're sure it's ACT you're asked to do, focus on that first. Ask your school.

Practice Algebra 2 and Trigonometry.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What did you get on your ACT IDealist?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I didn't take ACT. But my math teachers told us that ACT is mostly Algebra 2 and Trigonometry, unlike the SAT.

Thank you all! :)
