a man with blood group A marries a woman with blood group O and their daughter has blood group O. Is this information enough to tell you which of the traits-blood group A or O-is dominant? why or why not?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The information is not enough to infer that which trait - blood group A or O is dominant. 1 If A is considered to be dominant over O possible combination are male- AO and female OO. Thus, daughter can be OO and hence have blood group O. 2 If O is supposed to be dominant over A then the possible combinations are male- AA, female OO or OA. Thus, daughter can be OA and hence has blood group O. From the given information we cannot ascertain which blood group is dominant. http://www.onlinetest.radicesolutions.com/Solved_Problems/Biology/Heridity/Heridity3.html
