Why does my textbook say that g(x) has a larger maximum than f(x), when clearly f(x) has a larger maximum

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

f(x) has a max of 28 g(x) maximum looks like 4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

exactly, so why does it say g(x) has a higher maximum

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[g(x)\rightarrow \infty atx=0\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The picture makes g(x) = about 6, and the f9x) parabola lies well below it, with a max of about 4 or so.
