quiet same as the last one -2 is repeatedly being multiplied to diff. no. from 2 to 10. -2(2+3+4.....+10)-3. we can treat the no. under the bracket as an arithmetic progrssion with a=2and d=10 and n=9(no. of terms). -2((n/2)(2a+(n-1)d))-3

OpenStudy (zubhanwc3):

wohoo, is that n=2 on the bottom?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes it is

OpenStudy (zubhanwc3):

it looks like a -, im not sure

OpenStudy (zubhanwc3):

using a graphing calc i got -135

OpenStudy (anonymous):

didnt u get the solution given by me??????????

OpenStudy (zubhanwc3):

to do it by hand, replace the x with 2, and add again with 1 more than the prev addition, meansing 2,3,4,5,6,etc all the way till 10, and rohitkhanna, he asked in the chat thing, so i ddint read yours.

OpenStudy (zubhanwc3):
