How do you solve y=x^2 - 12x + 3

OpenStudy (shamil98):

Solve for what? the x-intercepts?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't know. The instructions just say "You may use any method but must show steps to receive full credit"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can't solve for y, solve for x

OpenStudy (shamil98):

Okay. I am going to assume for the x-intercepts ( or the roots when y = 0 ) So, set y =0. 0 = x^2 - 12x + 3 Solve for x using the quadratic formula.

OpenStudy (shamil98):

You could solve for the y-intercept, by setting x = 0 ...
