What is the slope of the line represented by the equation y= x/3 - 5? -5 3 1/3 -3/5

Slope, when given in 'y = mx + b' is always 'm'. In this instance you have x/3, or x*(1/3). So the slope would be 1/3.

thank you! I had one more question, it's attached in the pic

10x + 5y = 4 -10x -10x = 5y = -10x + 4 (divide both sides by 5) = Y = -2x + 4/5 Since you now have y = mx + b, and m is your slope, M = -2
