Can you explain something to me with factoring square trinomials? Please :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This is what the lesson page says: The discriminant is 0, which indicates that there will be one rational solution. When a perfect square trinomial is factored, the same factor will be repeated twice. x^2+8x+16 (x+4)(x+4) (x+4)^2 For x^2+8x+16 (x+4)(x+4) (x+4)^2 can you explain to me how they got (x+4) please. I'm sorry, I'm reeally bad at math.

Pick the last number, 16 . You can see 16 = 4 *4, right?

OpenStudy (loser66):

if you add them up, you get 8, the middle number on the expression, (I mean 8x) so, the factor will be (x+4)(x+4)

Okay. that's what I thought but wasn't sure. Thanks!
