HELP PLEASE !! XD I"LL GIVE A MEDAL AND A FAN!! Use the graph below to fill in the blank with the correct number. f(1) = _______

OpenStudy (anonymous):

heres the graph!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what are your options

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there arent any i need a numerical ansewr

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

Just read what the y value is when x=1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the answer would be .... 0??

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

Go to x=1, where is the dot? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(1, 0) right ??

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

When x is 1. So (1, _ )

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

Look at where the dot is, The dot is the function f

OpenStudy (anonymous):

on the graph x is on 1 and y is on 0 , so it would be (1, 0) .... if not then im confused

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

...do you know how to read coordinates? Can you list the coordinates of all those dots?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay ... (-3, 0), (-2, 2), (1, 0), and (-2, 1)

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

The first 2 you got right. Idk why the other are wrong... Try revising :) http://www.mathsisfun.com/data/cartesian-coordinates.html

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are they reversed or something

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

Yea I think they are reversed. Remember, read the horizontal line first, then vertical. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OH ,thats where i am wrong, i read the vertical then the horizantal lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then it'd be (0, 1) and ( 1 , -2 ) right

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

Yup! :)

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

So when x=1, y=?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

zero, am i right or wrong ?

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

...wrong. Please, do study the link I sent you.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

alright !!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y is -2

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

Yup

OpenStudy (anonymous):

FINALLY!!! YOU GET A MEDAL AND A HUG FOR HELPING ME SO MUCH !!!!! XD - HUGS WOLFE8!!!-

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

Hahaha -hugs- Good job. You just needed to revise some things and you got it.
