To solve inequaltieis, you would solve for the variable just like there is an equal sign EXCEPT, if you multiply or divide both sides of the inequality by a negative number then you FLIP the inequality around (i.e., > would become <; >= would become <=; etc.)

For your question: Step 1: Subtract 5 from each side Step 2: Multiply each side by -3 (FLIP THE > TO A < SIGN) You are done
