@Vincent-Lyon.Fr @terenzreignz https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/erl%C3%B6sen#Conjugation Why not geerlöset?

OpenStudy (vincent-lyon.fr):

Regular verbs form their pp this way: MACHen -> ge-MACH-t (to make, to do) where the capitalised part is the root of the verb. Now such regular verbs can form new ones by adding a particle. AUFmachen - > to open ZUmachen -> to close Such particles are of two types: the stressed ones and the unstressed ones. The stressed one are detachable in sentences and sent back to the end of the sentence. Ich mache die Tür auf. (I open the door) The pp is formed this way: auf-gemacht you can see that the particle is once again separated from the verb root (by 'ge') The unstressed particles cannot be separated and stay as such with the verb root. vermachen Ich vermache dir mein Haus. I pass down my house on to you. The pp is formed without the 'ge' in the beginning: vermacht Ich habe dir mein Haus vermacht. lösen (to solve) is regular -> gelöst erlösen (to deliver) has a weak particle, so no 'ge' and goes 'erlöst'.
