Discuss the differences between a coordinate geometry proof and a proof method that does not require coordinate geometry. When would it be appropriate to use a coordinate proof rather than another proof method? Refer to your math writing journal entry Coordinate Proof. What example and explanation did you write about? i need helppp!!

OpenStudy (phi):

I guess your journal has a blank page under "coordinate proof" ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont want an answer i just need help

OpenStudy (phi):

The question says "Refer to your math writing journal entry Coordinate Proof. " what does your journal entry say?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

we dont actually have journals, all of the lessons are recycled year after year; that was old information

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats why this is so difficult

OpenStudy (phi):

A coordinate proof uses a coordinate system. It lets you to use algebraic techniques instead of using axioms and theorems and logical deductions. sometimes the algebra is easier than doing the logical deductions

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ah! okay that helped a ton actually

OpenStudy (phi):

In a coordinate proof you can use things like the mid-point formula or the distance formula. pythagoras using the distance formula |dw:1389283694350:dw|
