Identify the point (x1, y1) from the equation: y + 8 = 3(x – 2) (–2, 8) (8, –2) (–8,2) (2, –8)

OpenStudy (jojo4eva):

Its the last one

OpenStudy (jojo4eva):

the beginning of the equation is y-y1 so since there is a plus sign there the number substitued for y had to have been a negative number therefore it was -8 so we have (x,-8) then we have x-x1 and 2 is substituted in for x1 therfore your answer is (2,-8)
