Hello, I'd like to report issue with OpenStudy. Each time I use a gecko based browser (firefox) I get a high CPU usage when using OpenStudy. (This only occurs on OpenStudy). I've tried: Complete re-install of firefox new profile, etc (doesn't fix the issue). I've tried different forks of firefox (same issue, still high CPU usage).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Snippet of the process taking up nearly all my CPU resource.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I do not know if this issue happens to anyone else I really like to have OpenStudy on firefox, due to I cannot live without my add-ons, they make things so much more tolerable.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Logs: (I cannot create a minidump).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Bluemoon?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Palemoon*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry we were talking about blue lobsters.

razor99 (razor99):

Use Google Chrome for god sake

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm running like 100 tabs on google chrome.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Palemoon (x86) is basically firefox optimized for windows. I do not want to use Chrome, I dislike it heavily, too much information is shared without any respect to your privacy.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But there's already an official firefox for windows.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Anyways, I think Chrome is a better browser.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Plus I need my add-ons, Chromium's API for extensions is just rubbish in my opinion.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

We all have our preferences...

Firefox sux expect for the part of private browser

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Your opinion, personally I like firefox. To me it does not suck in anyway.

razor99 (razor99):

Its slow hello wear u glasses

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Not really? It renders on-par with Google Chrome in fact in benchmarks it's better. Plus the speed of a webpage really depends on what you are getting from your ISP.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well this has to be some problem coming from your browser. It doesn't happen to any of us. I bet it's even faster on IE. How else can we help you?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't believe it's my browser, I seriously think it's OpenStudy, since this only happens when I get on OpenStudy.

razor99 (razor99):

Its Racist

OpenStudy (primeralph):

The people who run Openstudy's code are usually far from sight, so I don't think you'll get an answer to your question. Just add a water-cooler and OC.

OpenStudy (primeralph):

Could also be the dynamic chat at the bottom of the page. Try closing any if open.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Could be, let me try something.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well it didn't work, nice suggestion though.

\(\large \ Hi,\) If you run a 64-bit operating system, you can choose to download and install a native 64-bit version of Pale Moon, a so-called "x64 build". Without having to use the 32-bit compatibility layer in 64-bit Windows, native 64-bit browsers in general run faster and more efficient than their 32-bit counterparts, although synthetic tests may not provide you with conclusive results. Most notably, you may see lower CPU \(\ strain\) running Pale Moon x64 on complex/processor-intensive web sites or sites with large amounts of data like media sites. Unfortunately, there are also some drawbacks, mainly in the areas of compatibility with third-party 32-bit components to extend browser functionality. Most media-plugins are not available in an x64 version, for example. Therefore, there are some very important things to note before you decide if you want to use an x64 build: You will need an x64 Windows Operating System! Just having a 64-bit processor is not enough, you will also have to have a 64-bit version of Windows (i.e. Windows Vista 64-bit, Windows 7 64-bit or Windows 8 64-bit). Note: this version does not run on Windows XP x64! Native 64-bit graphical hardware acceleration is still in need of development by a large number of driver manufacturers. You may have to switch to the 32-bit build of Pale Moon if you run into issues because of this; a solution is not always available. "Pale Moon - X64 Builds." Pale Moon - X64 Builds. Goodness, you must be the guy behind writing green text :-P. My machine has only 4GB of DDR3 RAM, so sadly no x64 build for me :-(. Though you did remind me I do have hardware acceleration turned on for Pale Moon, I will try to see if using hardware acceleration is causing any problems for why OpenStudy is giving me a high CPU usage.

OpenStudy (compassionate):

Glad I could be useful, dear. \(\Huge\bf Have~ A \color{#00B4ff}{~Nice}\\ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~\Huge\bf\color{#7cc517}{Day!}~\)
