(MEDALS!!!!!!!!!) Please answer. Carlos has a pair of black pants, a pair of brown pants, and a pair of gray pants. He has a yellow shirt, a blue shirt, a black shirt, a white shirt, and a red shirt. How many different combinations of shirts and pants can he wear?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you should be able to find your answer by multiplying the number of pants by the number of shirts to find the total number of different combinations that can be made

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wouldn't it be 15 different combinations?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3 pants multiplied by 5 shirts

@BizPro Are you sure?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so u have 3 pants, 5 shirts you can wear 5 shirts for 1 pant so for 3 pants you do 5 x 3 = 15
