oops I forgot to mark my answers #2 a #3 a or d I think
Sorry hun, can't find the first question anywhere and I really dont know the other 2 lol
Thanks anyway, these are some weird questions anyways. Its not important, I was just hoping someone could verify I was right.
What course are you taking?
Brit Lit-comparitive, we're reading some odd stuff.
Seems a bit too high for me :P Sounds like your planning to major in Literature lol
I don't understand the language of British Literature. Yeah, I have always loved writing and books, but I didn't think British ones would be so different.
I know what you mean. Moving to foreign countries that study British English is a bit weird lol They call my english wrong only because they haven't learned my kind of speech :|
Yeah I've noticed that, I get told I pronounce things wrong because I have an accent. That on top of reading foreign British style English, I sound awful.
Where you from?lol
US, but I have a heavy northern accent. Its because my family is Native and I grew up near the border of Canada.
Born in Minnesota here lol, been to about 2 handfuls of states, lived in Canada as well, my sister's living there now with her family lol
I have a weird accent too I guess, or at least I get told, eh :P
Then you understand too. Its really annoying though when people point it out, especially in class cause then I look like I can't read or something. It makes me really self conscious.
Aww I wouldn't worry about it at all :) Bet you sound great ^^ Really helps to just keep your mind to yourself, not wandering around other people's loud thoughts. Obviously isnt easy though, you get used to it though.
Fallin' asleep?
Hahah no, I'm working on an essay. I'm just about finished.
I'm just about to finish an exam lol Would've been done if my internet didn't cut off at 3am ;-;
What kind of essay are you working on?
What is your exam on? I'm writing about some of the authors of the works we are reading. Particularly Swift, who's satires are actually kinda interesting....in a morbid kind of way.
Nice(: I'm doing an exam on Shakespeare and Order and Chaos stuff. Wouldn't have seemed too hard if I read through everything properly lol
Heh, I do that sometimes. In fact I didn't a single book in my last English course. We had pairs of books such as King Leer and A Thousand Acres, and since I knew the plots from reading in high school I just bs'd the whole course. Got an A too which is the funny part!
I think I just finished King Lear....Not reading it as well lol
Only British Literature my High school ever had us read was Shakespeare, and only the really popular ones like Lear and Romeo and Juliet
It's funny because you do it throughout your whole 4 years in high school, no matter what grade lol You're always gonna get a famous shakespeare play to write about.
Yeah. Needless to say I got tired of Shakespeare rather quickly, at least in high school. Now I love plays and theatre, its actually really interesting.
I love reading, just not dramas. Then again, I'm not looking to major in literature like you. Im more interested in Engineering lol
Understandable. My father is an engineer, said he always got D's in English, but he can do more math than I ever thought about....guess there has to be some kind of trade off for intelligence in subjects like that.
I think I'll head out for now, I have class tomorrow and I need to turn in my essay. goodnight Yuba!
Night(: Sleep tight Shana!
