Find the value of x for which p is parallel to q, if m<1=(9x) and m<3 = 117 https://study.ashworthcollege.edu/access/content/group/af6e8f9f-40f5-4e73-9bd7-b87e13cc6d33/geometry_exam_3_files/mc009-2.jpg The diagram is not to scale A. 108 B.13 C.117 D.126

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Angle 1 and angle 3 are corresponding, and so they are of equal measures.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So its C? Thanks :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes. :) your welcome. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can you help me on another question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sure... :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Write an equation in point-slope form of the line through point J(4, –4) with slope 4. A. y+4 = 4 (x+4) B.y+4 =4 (x-4) C.y-4= 4 (x+4) D.y+4=-4(x-4)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Substitute \((x_1, y_1)\) = (4, -4) and m = 4 to the point slope equation \(y-y_1=m(x-x_1)\).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So..i'll come up with y-4= 4 (x -4) ? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Nope. Since \(y_1\) is negative, so instead of 4(x - 4) you must have 4(x - (-4)).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry, @SkiTTleoooo47 but I have to go now to my class. :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh okay :p

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Bye

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry, my mistake. :/ But you are right with your answer, and I am wrong with my explanation.
