Graph the inequality: -2x+3y<9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just solve for y as usual

OpenStudy (anonymous):

tell me what you get...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do i subract -2 from each side?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no add 2x to each side..you want the -2x on the right side to cancel

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i ment the left side...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so 3y< 9+2x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

now what do u need to do?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmmm,minus 2 from each side?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i have no idea lol i am terrible at this stuff

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no...ummm u want the y all by its self sooo you would

OpenStudy (anonymous):

add 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no we have gotten to the point where we have move the 2x to the right side so now we have 3y< 9+2x ...the goal now is to get the y all by its self..how do we get rid of the 3?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

subtracting 3? or adding 3
