when is angular movement conserved

OpenStudy (vincent-lyon.fr):

When no net torque acts on the system.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that is absolutely correct sir

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i agree that is absolutely correct..oh wiat WILL-I-AM IS ME>?!?!?!?!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Angular momentum is conserved if and only if: the net torque acting on the system is zero in every component \[\tau_{net}=\sum_{i}^{} \tau_i =\frac{ dL }{ dt }= 0 \ \ (zero) \rightarrow L_{initial} = L_{final}\]
