Please help me, equation in point slope forms?
What is the equation in point slope form of the line assing through 0,6 and 1,3
Finding the slope? Do you know what the formula is?
Yes I know how to find the slope. But it's asking about the equation in point slope form.
Do you know what the point slope form is?
y2-y1 over x2-x1 you mean?
Point slope form is y-y1 = m(x-x1) Label the coordinates and just plug in the ys and x's
The slope is -3
Here are the answers. A. (y-3)=-3(x-1) B. (y+3)=3(x+1) C. (y+3)=-3(x+1) D. (y-3)=3(x+6)
So A?
You told me the slope is -3. Therefore, m= -3 We'll use (1,3) for x1 and y1 (y-3) = -3(x-1)
Oh I guess I didn't know that formula. Thank you. :) Can you help me with this other one? It's average rate of change.
Sure
I'll try, lol.
Ok lol Find the average rate of change for the given function from x=-1 to x=5.
Theres a chart like this: x -1 3 5 and then there is another side labeled y 7 3 1 And they are side by side. It wont let me draw it but I can try to get it for you if you need it.
One second. Sorry, people are asking me all these questions lol
its okay.
Alright.. Let's see. I know that the formula is A(x) = f(x) - f(a) all over x -a
I haven't done this in a long time. I'm afraid I can't help. Sorry!
okay. well I think I will just call for help on that one lol. Its cool though thanks so much :)
