INFORMAL: Formal is something that you say to someone you respect. If you are under eighteen, you say "Usted" to anyone who is older than you. If you are eighteen or over you say "usted" to anyone who is also eighteen and over. Informal is saying to other people like your friends and brothers. If you are under eighteen you say "tu" to anyone younger than you, and if you are over eighteen you say it to anyone under eighteen.
