In the given problem, 2+5i is complex; 2 is the real part and 5i is the imaginary part. if we have 2+5i, 2-5I (with the opposite sign) is called the "conjugate" of 2+5i. To "simplify" the given problem, multiply both the numerator and the denom. of the given fraction by the conjugate 2-5i. Try this. Please draw your result, using the Draw feature, if possible, so that I (or others) could give you feedback on what you're doing.

the whole objective is to remove the imaginary operator, i, from the denominator. It's OK if you still have i in the numerator. Note that only the last 2 possible answers have any merit.
