OpenStudy (nikato):

Can u find the area of the small square

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i don't think so

OpenStudy (nikato):

Area = base x height Or for square. Length^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would it be 3*3= 9 squared

OpenStudy (displayerror):

There are two 'areas' that you need to find. Note that both are squares, one with side 5 ft. and one with side 3 ft.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would the areas be 40 and 9?

OpenStudy (displayerror):

Look at the picture I've attached. There are two distinct squares. 9 is the area of the smaller square, but what about the larger square?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1 would be 25?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the larger one is 25 and the smaller one is 9 equaling a total area of 34

OpenStudy (phi):

yes
