In what way do you think the location of the foramen magnum relates to the movement of each species?
This is your opinion. http://phenomena.nationalgeographic.com/2013/09/28/the-way-you-walk-is-tied-to-a-hole-in-your-skull/ <- this might help you
It is most likely because of the way they walk/eat. Humans walk upright, and we don't have to hunch over to eat like a monkey, therefore our head is more centered on our spinal cord (our foramen magnum) On the other hand, a monkey is hunched over while walking and eating, so their spine is more hunched over to fit their lifestyle. This puts their head in a different place on their spinal cord than ours. Does that make sense or do I need to try to rephrase that? Sometimes it's easier with a drawing but I can't really draw lol
