1. How did life in the South change politically, economically, and socially after the Civil War? 2. What happened to Native Americans as whites settled the West? 3. What were the experiences of farmers, cowboys, and miners in the West? 4. How did mining affect the development of the west? 5. How important was the concept of the frontier to America's political and diplomatic development?

alright you got a lot there so give me a min
Oh.....u are PurpleUnicornn7771234....lol
Alright for the first one. Remember that the civil war revolved around the issue of slavery and it was a battle between the North and South. The south didn't like the idea of salvery but the North did. Furthermore, you can only imagine the changes that the South went through knowing that they had to deal with then end of slavery. Now i don't want to answer the whole question for you but go to this site http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Civil_War for some more background and infer. Like economically how would the South (farmers) deal without slaves? And so on the idea of not having slaves affected them a lot.
*sorry the South wanted slave and the North didn't
Just making sure...... this is only number 1?
yess, it is. I will label the rest
2. The second question is quite easy: look around you don't see many Natives and that is because as the Whites came in they slowly began pushing out the Natives, for example the White would bring cows and because of all the cows they were eating away at the Natives pastures forcing them to search fertile land else where. There are a plethora of examples that show how the white basically kicked out the Natives. Also depending on what time exactly you are talking about with the Natives you might want to google the "trail of tears" which was an Native ethic cleansing on of the first.
3. I am not going to answer this question for you for two reasons. One it is really not that hard sweetie, just think about. Two, you have learned this. However, I do not want to seem mean, so I will give you some helpful background. With all three groups you have to remember that the west was an unknown place to many people, and people felt that it was their manifest destiny to travel and find out. The west had a lot of fertile land, and hidden gold, but remember a lot of farmers were poor.
That's fine:-D
4. The Gold Rush, ooohh the Gold Rush was a very big deal in the U.S for miners as they were traveling West for thier manifest destiny. Mining really got people's spirits up to the money that the land holds, and really brought a lot of people out west. Furthermore mining helped develop the west because as I said their were treasures like gold and silver and gold and silver means money and money means development. It was especially helpful when railroads came about and it was easier to transport the treasure. Moreover, remember the money that mining provided that will really answer your question
5. okay for the last one I am going to be honest I am not quite sure and I have to go, but if you go to this site it might help; also try making a new thread with just that question and because it is ONE question I am sure someone will be more likely to help, fyi when there are a lot of questions on one thread people sometimes get moody and discouraged. Here is the cite: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_frontier Hope I helped enough:)
Yes u did.... if I could, I would give u another metal......... thanks a lot!😃😊😄:D
hahah, one medal will do:) as long as you are appericative which is nice and if you learned a couple of things that is even better:) I would highly recommend looking up the trail of tears for the native question very sad but great answer to your question toootles:)
Yea, I will:-D.....nd thnx for fanning me.
Do you have to classify them into poor, middle, and high classes? Because if you do I would say miners would be a middle to high class it all depended on the amount of treasure they found. Cowboys were usually outlaws so probs poor and farmers were usually poor depending on what they famed. for example if they farmed horses so to say they would probs be rich and part of a high class
Tell me girly does that help?
No...we don't have too......but u mentioned in one of the replies that farmers were usually poor, so I thought if miners and cowboys were poor as well. Nd yea that helped:D
okie dokie sounds good:) tooootless
