I hope no one will mind me posting this here but I need advice for college... Info is below.

OpenStudy (kmullis6):

I'm turning 16 in February & I thought this summer would be the time to get a job. I'm planning on working at a dog boarding facility & after taxes, as a minor, I'm expecting around $120 a week, maybe less. Anyways, for college, I'm planning on going to The Los Angeles Film School and I'm moving from Florida, but obviously I have to be accepted, but tuition is around $50,000. It's really high, and I don't know, unless I get a scholarship, how I'm going to do that. Once I get my job, I will probably be expected to pay for my cell phone bill, and car insurance. I just don't really see how it's possible to pay it. You will probably all say that my parents will help, my they're not too supportive with me moving to California. Anyways, how should I go about saving up? Is taking out loans really that big of a deal, because honestly, I don't mind doing that. It would take a while to pay off, of course, but if it means me being successful, I'll do it. :D

That's not a lot of money to make to pay for tuition. I think that it will be at least something. I think, just keep up your plan. It'll at least be a backup plan if another plan doesn't go right.

I know loan are sorta hard to get payed up. So if you were to get a loan, try to pay it off as you go through college. Best plan with that one.

OpenStudy (kmullis6):

@mlovegurah alright thankyou! (:

Your Welcome c:

I love how focused and determined you are on your future. Lets me know there are still kids/teens that still care about themselves. I'm sure if you save the money, put a couple dollars back every paycheck, you can do it. I have faith in you! (:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I wish I was you... I feel as if my future is only rolling downhill

OpenStudy (kmullis6):

Thanks, yeah there's a few of us left lol :P @skittlez13

I completely understand your situation...I, too, live in Florida and plan on moving to California to go to Academy of the Arts for broadcasting and Journalism, which my parents do NOT approve of. I was terrified about taking out loans since I have heard many times that it is hard to repay the money. I am enlisting in the National Guard once I turn 17 (In July) and I will be making $200-$300 a month. The cost of tuition will be $60,000. The way I figure it, as long as you apply for financial aid, look for scholarships, and get a job, you should be fine. Just save up and don't go crazy on a first car, new phone, find a cheap phone service, etc. Just budget your money wisely. It will be fine..trust me :D

@kaylamarie101 It's great to see someone else doing pretty much the same as me. I feel kind of alone and like no one supports me in these decisions, but you kind of inspired me lol (: Thanks!

I know how you feel...My family wants me to stay here and go to Polk State College...But I have such bigger dreams than that!!! We can both do it @kmullis6 lol And I am glad to hear that I have inspired you :D
